Since the 14th January 2005, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has regulated the sale and administration of general insurance and pure protection contracts.  Any insurer, intermediary or broker who wishes to transact general insurance or pure protection contracts must comply with the Conduct of Business rules as laid out by the FSA.  As a company, Endsleigh whole heartedly supports this initiative and has made every effort to ensure it fully complies with the rules where required.

If you make any changes to your policy or request a set of replacement documents an administration charge will be made each time. If you cancel your insurance policy within the 14 day cooling off period, an administration charge will be made in addition to a charge relating to the time you have been on cover. If you cancel your insurance policy after the 14 day cooling off period, a cancellation fee will be charged in addition to a charge relating to the time you have been on cover. Details of the fees relating to your policy can be found on your Statement of Insurance under the section entitled About Our Services.

In the event of you wanting to make a claim against your policy, Endsleigh will be acting on behalf of the insurer in negotiating and settling the claim with you. To make a claim, phone us on the telephone number detailed in the 'How to make a claim' section of the policy summary and tell us what has happened and when and where the incident took place. If possible, please have your policy number to hand when you call us.

The parties to a contract of insurance covering a risk situated in the United Kingdom are permitted to choose the law applicable to the contract.  All our policies are governed by English law.  English law will also apply prior to the conclusion of your contract of insurance.

In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with our service in any way, we operate a comprehensive complaint handling service.  In the first instance, please contact the person you originally dealt with.  They will aim to resolve your complaint on the same day.  Alternatively you can contact us: -

Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)

 

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).  You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations.  This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
